1. How to arrive:
   You can arrive by public transportation Quito via Baeza to Tena (6.- US$ per person per way) and then you continue by a pickup-Taxi directly to the Jungle Lodge El Jardin Aleman (ca.10 to 12 US$ per way)
   Or you can come by private transportation. We are pleased to arrange you the trip. MAP

2. Weather conditions:
   It is rainforest, don´t be surprised, it is raining often heavily, but mostly short time. Here at the foot of the Andes the altitude is about 450 meter. It falls a lot of rain, from 3500 to 4000 mm per year. There are no marked seasons because of nearby equator. The rainfalls are spread equally over all the year; but specially from June to November. The temperature is in between 15-18° C by night and 28-33 C during day.  During rainy  season the jungle is most attractive and the rivers are most navigable.

3. Clothing:
   Clothing is the same all the year: light, cotton clothes, long pants and long-sleeved shirts for the jungle walks, sun hats and sunglasses indispensable. (Rubber boots you get in your Lodge). Don´t forget a rain jacket.

4. Are there a lot of mosquitos and tropical deseases:
   In our area there are very few mosquitos and there was no report of Malaria or Dengue Fever the last years. Yellow fever is not around and no vaccination is obligatory. Nevertheless you have to protect you by insect repellent.

5. Packing list:
   Passport (take always a copy with you), Insect repellent, sun creme, light cotton clothes, long pants, shorts, long-sleeved shirts, swimming suit, hat, sunglasses, small backpack for the tours, rain coat.

6. Elecricity:
   Anywhere in cabins, bathrooms and social area there is electricity 110 V and in the Laundry 220 V

7. Internet and cell phone:
   There is WiFi in the social area and the restaurant. You can rent internet with our computer. There is good signal with Porta and Movistar.
